Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, email support@knoqknoq.com and a person will get back to you.

How do I send my first invoice?

Open the app and tap the plus button. You've got three ways in: say what you did, point the camera at your job notes or paper invoice, or type it in yourself. Add your client's name and number, a line item or two, and a due date. Check the invoice, hit Send, and choose text, email, or both.

That's it. You can send it from the truck, before pulling out of the driveway.

How do the AI follow-ups work?

When an invoice needs a nudge, coming up on its due date, just went overdue, or has been sitting a week, KnoqKnoq drafts the reminder for you. It reads the invoice and the conversation so far and writes the message the way you'd write it: professional, direct, not robotic and not pushy.

Every reminder waits for you. The draft shows up, you read it, you can edit it, and nothing goes out until you tap Approve. On paid plans, once you trust the drafts, you can turn on automatic sending in Settings; reminders then go out without waiting for you, and every message still shows up in the invoice timeline.

What payment methods can my clients use?

On paid plans, once you've connected payouts, clients can pay by card or bank transfer (ACH) from the invoice link.

Invoices can also list the ways you take payment yourself, like check, Zelle, or Venmo, with your details. Those payments happen outside KnoqKnoq, so you mark the invoice paid when the money arrives. When a client pays through the invoice link, KnoqKnoq marks it paid for you.

What does my client see when I send an invoice?

They get a text (and email, if you added one) with a link to their invoice. No app to download, no account to create, no password. The page shows your business name, the work, the amount, the due date, and a pay button if you take payments through KnoqKnoq. They can download a PDF copy for their records.

When they open it, you see "Viewed" in your timeline. No more wondering if it went to spam.

What if a client doesn't want text messages?

They reply STOP. That's the whole process. The moment a client texts STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT, STOPALL, or REVOKE), KnoqKnoq stops texting that number, immediately and from every business. Only the client can undo it, by replying START to get texts again. You'll see it in the invoice timeline, and you can still reach them by email or a plain old phone call.

This isn't optional and there's no override, for your protection as much as theirs. Texting rules carry real penalties, and KnoqKnoq keeps you on the right side of them. Messages also only go out between 8am and 9pm in your client's time zone.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings, then Delete Account. Nothing more is sent from your account, and you have 30 days to change your mind: sign in and tap Restore. After 30 days your account and its data are deleted for good. You can also email support@knoqknoq.com and we'll take care of it.
